c:\Documents and Settings\”YOUR …

Choose Disk Management within the Computer Management console to view your existing partitions.

Right-click on the existing partition and choose “Shrink Volume” to free up space for your new partition.
Here, we’re freeing up 2 gigabytes (2048MB) of space.

Then, right-click on the new unallocated space and choose “New Simple Volume.”
Format the new partition as NTFS and give it a name.

Vista will format your newly-created partition inside the Disk Management console.

Now your newly-created partition will be viewable in My Computer and available to read and write to
